2015 Andy Award Winners
It’s always great when the end of the year rolls around and we finally get to select Andy Award winners at each store. These individuals were honored by their peers for exhibiting the Anderson Cultural Values.
This year, we gave several of you a chance to say why you thought your store’s winner was a deserving recipient. And we found out that Tim O’Neill may or may not have lost the store’s arm wrestling contest to Brandon Clay.
2016 Health Insurance
Open enrollment time is upon us, and we wanted to provide you with information prior to meetings.
Thank you to those who have provided feedback regarding changes made to the health insurance plan in 2015. Based on our experiences and feedback that we have received, we made the determination to change third party administrators. Effective January 1, 2016, Anderson Auto Group’s health insurance plan will be administrated by UMR, which is owned by United Healthcare.
The main question on your minds, is what does that mean for me?
- There will be no increase in premiums in 2016.
- All coverage levels will remain the same with the exception an increase in the preventive care benefit.
- There will be very little impact in the change in provider network. To verify that your provider is in network, go to www.umr.com, select “find a provider”. Select the United Healthcare Choice Plus Network
Enrollment meeting will be held on the dates listed below. All employees who wish to elect or continue health care coverage will need to attend. If you wish to decline coverage, your people resources representative will be contacting you to sign a waiver.
Monday, December 7th, 10:00 a.m. – Lincoln South
Monday, December 7th, 1:00 p.m. – Lincoln North
Wednesday, December 9th, 11:00 a.m. – St. Joe Ford
Wednesday, December 9th, 1:00 p.m. – St. Joe Kia
Thursday, December 10th, 11:00 a.m. – Grand Island

Our stores have been taking time again this year to share a Thanksgiving meal together, and St. Joe kicked off the season with a pretty sweet set up–extra points for whoever did the curled ribbon on the balloons 🙂

No Shave November
There are some solid beards going on in the St. Joseph stores this month. Our first annual No Shave November contest is in benefit of The Noyes Home and it’s shaping up to be a great donation!
Anderson will donate $100 per participant that completes the month without shaving. And participants have agreed to donate $100 if they shave before the month is over 😉

Husker Basketball Ticket Lottery
Hello Basketball Fans!
We are going to do a lottery this year for the Husker Men’s Basketball tickets. Here are the details:

There are 2-4 tickets and 1 parking pass available for each game — if the winner chooses only 2 tickets, an additional drawing will be held for the remaining tickets.
Drawings for ALL season games will be held THIS Friday, November 6th.
