Deli Transition
As many of you are now aware, the Mustang Deli will be closing permanently in mid-October. Connie and Billie and their family have been with us for over 14 years and we are very grateful for the time that they have served us.
After the transition takes place, we are planning to install a satellite Andy’s Express location in place of the Mustang Deli. Obviously the footprint at the north store is much different and there are many details still to be determined, so I wanted to take this opportunity to solicit your feedback on what kind of food and convenience items you’d like to see offered. Please take a moment to fill out the questionnaire so we can be better informed in our planning.

40 Years For Jerry Jelinek
Jerry Jelinek, Service Tech in Grand Island, just joined a very exclusive club. He just had his 40-year anniversary with Anderson!
As you can see, he is wielding a unique gift in honor of his tenure (a Henry Repeater rifle to be exact).
Congrats and thanks for your service Jerry!
Wellness Competition
Most of us enjoy a little friendly competition, and when that competition benefits everyone involved–even better! We’re excited to partner with a company called Profile to roll out a wellness competition at Anderson.
There’s a lot of information available, and I’m sure many of you will have specific questions. There will be a team from Profiles onsite in each store soon to answer those questions, and there are some documents linked below that provide details as well. For now, here are the main points of what we’re planning:
- This is a weight loss contest centered around percentage of weight lost during the contest period (rather than lbs. lost).
- The company Profile offers personalized coaching and meal-replacement products at a discounted rate to give you a better chance of coming out on top.
- Cost to participate via with Profile is $150/year. Deductions via payroll can be arranged. You can still participate in the contest without signing up for Profile for FREE. See your People Resource Rep! (If you signed up for the 25 dollar payroll deduction before 9/11/2015, that will be voided and you will not be charged.)
- For those employees who are entering the contest, but not joining profile, you will weigh in every week with your People Resource Rep.
- Any Profile participant that hits their weight loss goal will receive half of their fee ($75) back.
- Meal replacement products through the Profile program will cost around $70/week.
- There will be a Male and a Female class, with the “biggest loser” in each class for the entire autogroup receiving 3 days paid vacation.
- This is a competition between stores as well. We’ll track and report progress throughout the contest.
- This is a 90-day contest beginning 9/14. The winners will be announced at the Christmas Party. Employees may enter the contest or join Profile at any time.
- Andy’s Express, Credit Connection, and St. Joe Honda are also included in this competition.
- Spouses can also participate and if they win, it will be credited to the employee. Spouse cost is $95/year (employee must participate as well).
- To be eligible for the contest, final weigh-in will be Thursday Dec. 10th by 4:00 pm at the latest.
Reps with Profile will be onsite in the stores soon. Here are the meeting links for each store: Mazda, Lincoln North, St. Joe Ford, Kia/Mitsubishi, and Grand Island.
And here are links to materials from Profile that explain much more in-depth and offer a list of common questions: Brochure, Profiles Overview, and FAQ’s.
You can direct questions about the contest to any member of the People Resource Team. Good luck to all participants!
Drive One Event in GI

Many of those on our sales teams at the Ford stores have now had the chance to be part of a Drive One 4UR School event. At these events Ford donates $20 for every test drive, up to $6,000!
The Grand Island crew pictured above is getting setting up for their event and they went on to max out their test drives at 300, meaning they raised the full $6,000 for Grand Island Senior High! Nice work guys.
Mustangs Game
There have been some great nights for baseball lately, and the St. Joe crew recently took some R&R at the Mustangs game. Nice!
Side note: that hot dog set up is not taking any chances.
