Deb is an older woman who has raised her two children to adulthood. Now as an adult she suffers from a few different disabilities and rely’s on her car to get her to her multitude of appointments. Her disabilities prevent her from working and her fixed income of social security disability leaves nothing left to fix her car. The bus service to some of these appointments only runs twice a day making it an all day event to see a doctor or counselor. Deb thought her 1992 Accord was a lost cause when it wouldn’t start one day, but upon inspection by our own 10 year Anderson Service veteran Ganesh, it was determined worthy of repair. Now Deb has a safe and reliable for her to get to her appointments and run errands.
Deb is a member of her church for several years now and a friend advised her to reach out to their pastor for assistance. The pastor of her church knew of our program as he has worked with us in the past and was excited to be able to assist Deb in getting her application in.
Congrats to Deb (we could finally fix one!) and Ganesh for his hard work getting her car up and running again. Deb expressed her gratitude and said she didn’t know what she was going to do without us.
