BPM Teams up with Service Continuum to pay it forward!

Dave comes to us from our most recent BPM partnership here in Lincoln, Service Continuum.  What is Service Continuum?  The easiest way I can describe it is you know at the gas station when you are paying inside there is that little coin area that says “have a penny-give a penny, need a penny-take a penny”?  Well, it’s a lot like that only instead of pennies it’s everything else.  Have a car-give a car, need a bed-take a bed, can paint a fence-go paint a fence, need help moving-get help moving etc….  They are a small yet growing organization that is compelled to serve God by serving others in anyway they can.  Multiple churches and organizations reach out with what they can offer be it goods or services and when a need arises, Service Continuum connects them together.
They have facilitated two auto donations to BPM in the last month, one of which we were able to repair and donate just this last Wednesday (#41)!  So, what does all of this have to do with Donation #43?  Well Dave has a huge heart and had two vehicles.  Prior to connecting with BPM, Service Continuum sent out the request for a vehicle for a young family that had a string of bad luck.  Dave’s caring heart came through and he decided that since he had been blessed with not 1 but 2 perfectly fine vehicles he would give one to this family that was struggling.  Fast forward, shortly after giving up his backup car, his had issues with his and when he learned of the cost of repairs he was beside himself.
Service Continuum submitted an application for Dave and we felt with his current financial situation along with his recent selfless gift to help another family we just had to pay it forward and help Dave in his time of need.  Anderson Ford’s service team came to the rescue and was able to get Dave’s truck fixed quickly and $400 under the original quote!  Yay!
