Kathleen is a widow that attends church regularly and her pastor speaks very highly of her. She has had a very difficult year concerning her children and grandchildren, however, everything is improving day by day. Kathleen actually came in to buy a car. Unfortunately due to her disabilities and limited income, we could not assist her. Instead, we asked our service team to take a look at her car to see what it needed. It was a pretty big job due to several issues. Our service team reached out to BPM to see if we could help. After receiving her application, we agreed she was out of options. Kathleen’s pastor states he is sending a donation to Because People Matter to help pay for some of the expenses we incurred on her repair. This is not a requirement to receive our help, but of course it will go on to help others in need in the future. We thank Kathleen’s pastor for his gift and wish Kathleen the best.
BPM repairs are changing lives!
Danielle is also a repair request. Danielle works very hard to provide for her son after her divorce. She purchased her car on her own, but with the payments and insurance is living paycheck to paycheck. Danielle has been paying for repairs on her own to a private mechanic that allows her to make payments. Danielle’s pastor feels she is possibly being taken advantage of by her mechanic as the payments are never done. Danielle just wanted to have her car running again so she could get to work and her son to school. Upon diagnosis we discovered overheating and a bad compressor. Left un-repaired, the overheating would cause more damage and the compressor locks up when it fails causing other items to fail or lock up. Potentially it could happen while driving and this is a big safety issue for Danielle and her son. We decided to fix it before she drove anymore causing additional issues. Danielle and her son love their church community and all God has done for them. She was very grateful to her pastor for telling her about us, our service staff, as well as the rest of our BPM team.
Thank you again team, you can not imagine the joy you are bringing to all of these folks!
