BPM helping a single mom continue in a successful direction!

Cassie came to Hope Harbor in November 2015 after having her children removed from the home to due issues with addiction.  She was unable to remain in her housing situation at that time due to domestic violence and a protection order being put in place. Cassie enrolled in Out Patient Treatment in November of 2015 and has been following through with the requirements of that program.  Cassie completed the program at Hope Harbor and moved into her own home in income based housing at Colonial Square in December that same year and continued to working with Hope Harbor through the Self Sufficiency Program.

Since working with Hope Harbor, Cassie has continued to save money towards and emergency fund and has continued to work on paying off debts and fines from her past, gotten her drivers license, and her and her kids are all together doing well.  Cassie reports that she pays $13 one way to get to work due to the fact that she must take the cab.  This means that she must pay $26 per day to get to and from work.  Which ends up being a little under $600 per month.  Cassie would greatly benefit from having a vehicle because it would increase her independence due to the fact that she would not need to rely on rides from friends or family.  Having a vehicle would save her an immense amount of money that could then be used towards fuel, insurance, registration, savings, and paying off debt.  Which would also benefit her children by providing them with a way to get to school and to doctors appointments.

Cassie has come a long way, and we are very proud of her accomplishments!
