Hugs…a photo speaks a thousand words!

Tara is a single mom of twin girls and a young man starting high school this year.  Tara has had some struggles recently leaving her and her three children living in a motel with no transportation.  Tara has a solid job and income and was trying to secure a safe place for her and the children to live.  She does not have a car to get to work or the kids to school.  She has been patiently waiting for one to be ready as the Car Care Clinic and tire sale has kept our service teams pretty busy.
We were planning on giving Tara car next week, then she found out she got an apartment she applied for and wanted to move this weekend.  Tara also learned this week, she got the management position in her company she applied for.  Needless to say Tara was a little overcome with happiness today!  Tara is must definitely be doing something right with all of these pieces falling into place around her.
We also were able to contact the donor of the vehicle Belem.  Belem and her family are not strangers to donating broken down cars, she told us today her and her husband have also donated vehicles to the People City Mission!  Kyle her salesmen initially told her about our Because People Matter program during the purchase of her new Mazda.  She was interested and then called us shortly after with the good news she was donating her bad tranny Tribute to us.  Now the tranny on this was a little more than what we like to spend, but with things like the Car Care Clinic coming in under budget, every now and again we can fix rather than sell these nicer cars!

Included is a picture of Tara (right) and Belem (left) giving each other a hug!  Both ladies were very emotional this morning-it was really a great way to start the day!  Reminder***if anyone ever wants to be in the drivers seat on one of these donations please just let me know.  Really really makes you feel good to be a part of something like this and see how much these cars mean to the folks receiving them!

Thank you Team Anderson!!!
