You may have begun to notice some visual reminders going up around the stores mentioning safety procedures. We’ve been forming safety committees in each store with the goal of making our workplace safer and more secure. People do many different kinds of work at Anderson, so there’s a lot to talk about when it comes to safety.
We wanted to touch on one safety topic that most of us deal with at one time or another. Did you know that fires caused by extension cords kill and injure over 300 people per year? The picture above is a good representation of what sort of cord should be used in the workplace (always use an insulated, grounded cord!). Here’s a handy checklist to make sure you’re using extension cords properly at work. Thanks for your efforts to keep us all safe and happy!
