Since the passing of our son Cole, we wanted to do an annual event in honor of his life. His passion was shooting trap and having fellowship with others around that sport. We began annually hosting the Cole Anderson Memorial Trap Shoot at the Izaak Walton shooting range, where he spent many hours perfecting his shooting which ultimately led to him becoming a first team All American in that sport. To do that, one must register as a shooter with the ATA (Amateur Trap Association) and travel to different states to compete. Cole always had a desire to help others in that sport, so as part of this event we have the (Fun Shoot) for those people that aren’t registered shooters and/or who have never shot trap before. This year, we had the honor to give an award to Steve Snapp for being the top shooter in the Fun Shoot, where he shot 25 straight without a miss. I think Steve should shoot more often competitively as he obviously has a strength in that area.
Next year our goal would be to do the same thing, however start a little later in the day and have people stick around and enjoy free BBQ and good conversations with friends, family, or co-workers. Thanks to all that came and Congrats again Steve on your great shooting.
