3rd Charity Classic Car Show

The St. Joe Team just wrapped up their third annual Charity Classic Car, Truck & Bike Show. The proceeds from the event are all to benefit The Dream Factory.

The Dream Factory exists with the mission to grant wishes for critically and chronically ill children. There are 38 local chapters across the country staffed by hardworking volunteers that raise money to make these wishes a reality for kids and families that need a win in their lives. The Dream Factory is also the only children’s wish-granting organization that does not limit its mission to children who have life-threatening illness. They also serve kids with chronic illness and disorders, believing that this segment exemplifies great need and is often overlooked.

Our event linked up directly with the St. Joseph chapter, and will help make a difference in kids’ lives. Thanks for all your help in making it happen!

There were some pretty great entries in the show. Check out the photos below.

St. Joe Car Care Clinic

St. Joe just concluded their latest Car Care Clinic in service of Veterans, single parents & people in need in our community. These events are an awesome way for us to directly impact an urgent need for people in St. Joseph. The BPM team worked with The 139th Airlift Wing, Catholic Charities, Pregnancy Resource Center & Habitat for Humanity to identify people in need. Our Quicklane techs, Service techs as well as people from Parts, Detail and the BPM team gave of their own time to spend an evening fixing vehicles for people that need it the most, for no charge. While the techs are hard at work, we also hosted dinner for the moms.

Kassie Collins, one of the widows we helped in the clinic, lost her husband in 2003 while he was serving in Iraq. She has recently joined the Americorps Vista program and is now serving veterans as a Prevention Coordinator with CADCA/Vetcorps. Her daughter, Landry Collins, did and outstanding job helping us paint faces of the children there. The event was very appreciated and some were move to tears commenting,
“I can’t believe you’d do this sort of thing for someone like me.”

These events aren’t possible without the volunteered time of our dedicated St. Joseph team. Way to go and thank you for making such a big difference for People Who Matter there in St. Joseph! Check out the photos from the event below.

Veterans Car Care Clinic

In Lincoln we just wrapped up our latest Car Care Clinic. This has been an awesome way to serve people in our community over the last year plus. In the past, we’ve partnered with organizations like City Impact and the Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center; each time performing vehicle maintenance for people that otherwise could not afford it.

There’s a lot of cool things about this. Transportation is a core need for people, and we’re uniquely positioned as an auto dealership to help meet this need in a very direct way. Seeing this happen for the people in our community that need it most has been tremendous. It has also been an amazing thing to watch our Service and Quicklane teams band together and step up to the task of serving. These guys and gals are volunteering of their own time (after putting in a full day’s work), and without them it wouldn’t be possible. A huge thanks to them all for making it happen!

Along these lines, there are two unique things about this most recent clinic.

  1. We had the opportunity to serve the men and women who have faithfully served our country and preserved our freedom. The focus for this clinic was servicing the vehicles of veterans in our community.
  2. This whole thing is possible only through the volunteered time of our tech teams. We had a record number of volunteers for this event! Awesome!

Check out the photos below from the event. We look forward to hosting more of these in the future in all markets.

Rescued Readers Donation

BPM1313_post

Our St. Joe team partnered with an awesome organization called Rescued Readers. This non-profit creates partnerships between American and African students, seeking to put books into the hands of African kids that can’t get them anywhere else. They do great work, and you can read more about it here on their website. St. Joe made a BPM Inc. donation of $250 to their cause. Way to go team!

Over $10k for St. Joe UCP

Once again, the St. Joe team participated in the 27th Annual Chili Challenge in support of United Cerebral Palsy. We helped raise over $10,000 in support of this awesome local organization. Way to go St. Joe team! We also took home first place for Best Decorations, which is no surprise given the tuxedo T-Shirts. Thanks to every one that came out and gave of their time to help out. Check out some great photos from the event below:
