Today we were honored to receive a visit from Mr. Gayu Uesugi, chairman and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors!
Almost There
We’ve got a bunch of troopers down at the St. Joe Ford Store. The new construction has been a long process! It’s finally coming together though, and the showroom is shaping up to be arguably the nicest of all the Anderson stores.
What was once two separate areas is now one continuous space, making for a really spacious feel. Premium finishings and materials have been included throughout, and the whole place just feels more warm and open. Way to persevere through the construction guys. The final product is looking awesome!
Check out the pictures below for a look at the progress.
Dream Factory Show
The annual Car Truck & Bike show in St. Joe was once again a great success! As in years past, the show this year was in benefit of The Dream Factory.
We had an awesome turnout this year, as you can see in the pictures below. Here’s a message from Alice (the People Resource Rep.) on how the day went:
Hey Team!!! Thank you for the awesome team-work in planning, preparing, and carrying out activities that made this year’s Dream Factory Car/Truck/Bike show a success!
We had 86 entries. From all the activities & entries, funds raised totaled $1430.00. We’ll be requesting $1000.00 from Because People Matter, Inc – 501C3 fund for a total of $2430.00 for the Dream Factory of Northwest Missouri.
This year, there were pony rides, a bounce house, face-painting, raffles, 50/50 pot, and the Home Depot Children’s craft workshop.
St. Joseph Youth Alliance teens volunteered. They worked the registration table, handed out t-shirts, helped with face-painting, handed out door prizes, helped clean up, moved tables & chairs.
Thank you to Anderson employee’s and families for donating your time to make this a successful event!!
The New Employee Directory
Today we published a new tool on AAGConnect. The Employee Directory contains an up to date listing for every team member at Anderson and is now available to use. Click here to see it.
Check out the video above for a walkthrough on what the directory is all about and how to use it. You will have to log in before you can access the directory.
Here’s a couple quick tips on how to make it easy to use:
- When searching for a person, it works best to use their last name
- When searching for all the people in one role (i.e. all Sales Advisors or all Parts Managers) put your search in quotations. Like this: “parts manager”
- The search function can be accessed quickly from any part of AAGConnect. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and you’ll see the search bar on the right.
As always, please be in touch with myself or any other member of the People Resource Team if you have any questions. Or just leave your question in the comments below.
Thanks!
Paul: 1 Cancer: 0
This morning, Anderson Ford of Lincoln team members gathered for in the Mustang Deli. We gathered in celebration of our Service Manager, Paul Kottman.
After months of treatment that included chemo, radiation, and surgery, Paul wrapped up his final treatment. Awesome news!
Anyone who knows Paul is already well aware of his genuine attitude and great work ethic. We’re all pulling for him.
Way to go Paul!
Supporting Community Crops
We just had the privilege of delivering a pickup to the wonderful folks over at Community Crops (that’s Andrea and Ingrid taking the keys).
Community Crops is all about helping people work together to grow healthy food and live sustainably. They started out as a small community garden in 2003, and have since expanded into providing a number of great programs in the Lincoln area to promote sustainable living; including a training farm that provides technical assistance and land access to aspiring local farmers. Really great stuff.
Like many community-focused organizations, times are tight for Community Crops. Specifically, they were in need of a vehicle to transport equipment and to pull a 1-ton trailer. That’s where BPM Inc. stepped in and matched them with a pickup truck that met their needs.
We’re super excited about the impact that this crew will continue to have by promoting sustainable, wholesome food production in Lincoln!
